Description:Golden in colour, this tequila is strong, pungent, suave, and complex. Complex aromas emphasize a blend of agave and toasty oak nuances. The finish has a slow long agave aftertaste.
Description:It is blanco that has been kept (or rested) in white oak casks or vats called 'pipones' for more than two months and up to one year. The oak barrels give reposado a mellowed taste, pleasing bouquet, and its pale colour. Reposado keeps the blue agave taste and is gentler to the palate.

How to Drink Sotol:
If you are trying as something new and different then it does not make much sense to mask the flavors in a mixed drink. Drink it straight, chilled or on the rocks.
Once you have had a try, if you want to mix up a drink with it , give a classic margarita made with Sotol a try.
Quick and easy.Server it on the rock or if you like it frozen just put it all in a blender with some ice. You can add some salt to the rim of your glass.
Sotol is not widely produced and Hacienda De Chihuahua are the top of the Sotol market. Reasonably priced and finely crafted, this is a nice example.
